Karl Almstead’s 45-year career with Turner has spanned entry level to management positions domestically and overseas. As a tenured officer, Karl was ultimately responsible for directing preconstruction activities worldwide, with a focus on international markets and development over the past decade. He is also responsible for maintaining and publishing the nationally-known Turner Building Cost Index, a long-time leading economic indicator for the construction industry used by public and private sectors. Karl has managed some of Turner’s most complex high-rise projects and is known throughout the company as a foremost authority on mitigating the unique challenges that arise on such projects.
