Karen Nichols, FAIA, is an architectural design practice leader at Michael Graves. Since joining the firm in 1977, she has played a key role in its integrated practice in master planning, architecture, interior design, experiential design, and graphic design. Her work, which often encompasses front-end planning, spans many building types and places. Among these are national workplace transformations for major US companies, the Nile Corniche high-rise mixed-use development in Cairo, major cultural centers such as the Statue of Unity in India (the tallest statue in the world), and urban and campus master plans.
