José Alberto de la Torre started his career in 1991. His experience mainly derives from the analysis and design of structures as well as technical support during the construction phase over a broad range of structural typologies. This includes tall buildings, housing complexes, educational institutes, hospitals and airports, with specific expertise in the restoration and renovation of architectural heritage sites. He has also been involved in the analysis and rehabilitation of many pathological cases.

His early development was on site for the construction company Comylsa; first as a chief of production, and after as head of the on-site technical office for innovative design projects,.

His profound interest in the technical and constructive aspects of construction, and particularly structures, led him to take the role of project technician in this specialty within the Technical Office of Comylsa E.C.

In 1996 he joined the Technical Office of construction company Ferrovial Agroman, becoming part of the Projects Area in the Building Structures Department. In 2006 he was put in charge of managing this department and in 2008 became Head of the entire Department for Building Structures.

J. Alberto de la Torre is a member of the APTA (Association for the Technical Promotion of Steel) and of ACHE (Scientific-Technical Association for Structural Concrete) for which he recently presented six papers during the last congress.
