Mr. Jingtang He was born on April 2, 1938, in Dongguan, Guangdong Province. He received his Master's degree in architecture at the South China University of Technology in 1965. He is currently president and chief architect of the Architectural Design and Research Institute at the South China University of Technology as well as a professor and doctoral supervisor. He also serves as the director of the China Architecture Education Expert Association, director of the State Key Lab of Subtropical Building Science Academic Committee, and the Commissary of Ninth and Tenth CPPCC.
