About

Mr. Harper is a degreed fire protection engineer from the University of Maryland. He has been a licensed professional engineer for 30+ years and has worked with JENSEN HUGHES, Inc. for 32+ years, working as a firefighter paramedic for 10 years prior to that. Jeff is currently a technical fellow and senior consultanting engineer located in Chicago.

Jeff has worked on many projects developing fire and life safety programs, evaluating code compliance and developing equivalent approaches. He's helped develop both Editions of the SFPE Guide to Fire Protection in Very Tall Buildings. He is Immediate Past Chairman on the Chicago Committee for High Rise Buildings (CCHRB) and participates on the Steel/Timber Research Group for the Council for Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH). His tall building experience includes Burj Khalifa and Kingdom Tower, among others.
