About

Javier Quintana is principal at IDOM UK, an international award-winning architecture and engineering company with presence in the UK since 2001. Javier has experience in directing projects and cross-disciplinary teams at both national and international level. Prior to IDOM, he has been the director of the Foundation Escolá (IDOM’s R&D division) and the Dean of IE School of Architecture and Design, an innovative institution created by the high-ranking IE Business School in Madrid.

He was also the founding partner of taller basico de arquitectura, an architectural practice based in Spain focusing on design innovation. Javier holds a master’s degree from Columbia University and has a PhD on tall buildings from the University of Navarra. His research and built work have been awarded, exhibited and published internationally.
