Shri Jashwant Mehta obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from M.S. University of Baroda, India in 1962 and his Master’s degree in Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, USA in 1964. He is an architect, consulting engineer and also active as a real estate developer in the hotel industry. He is a Fellow of various professional organizations including the Institution of Engineers (India), the Institution of Valuers and the Indian Institute of Architects, and a Lifetime Member of the Indian Concrete Institute, the Indian Chapter of American Concrete Institute, Regd. Council of Architecture, India. He was an Executive Committee Member of Practicing Engineers, Architects and Town Planners Association (PEATA) from 1983 to1995 and a Managing Committee Member of Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry from 1986 to 2006.
