About

Jamshid Mohammadi has been a faculty member since 1979, and is currently a professor of civil and architectural engineering, at Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), Chicago, Illinois. He earned his graduate degrees in civil engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1977 and 1980, respectively. Over the period 1997-2011, he served as the chairman of the Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering at IIT. He teaches courses in structural engineering and conducts research in structural reliability, fatigue and fracture reliability analysis, and bridge engineering.
