Jim Burnett, FASLA, founded OJB in 1989 and has dedicated his career to creating meaningful spaces that challenge conventional boundaries of landscape architecture. Over the past 30 years, Jim has focused on designing landscapes that promote healthy living, and recently, has centered on the transformation of cities through the creation of active public spaces that restore connections between disparate sections within cities. To date, OJB has garnered over eighty design awards including; the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Firm award, 3 Urban Land Institute (ULI) Open Space Awards, and in 2016, Jim was awarded the prestigious ASLA Design Medal.
