Hugh Pidduck is a structural engineer working at the forefront of tall building design. He uses advanced engineering techniques to optimize material use and reduce embodied carbon delivering elegant, efficient and cost-effective engineering. As an Associate at Arup’s London headquarters he has collaborated with some of the world’s leading design practices to deliver a series of award-winning projects.

Hugh will explain the remarkable engineering solution developed in response to a challenging and highly seismic site, and how the synthesis of international best practice design with local construction expertise has acted to develop skills and capability in Bogota, Colombia.
