Herman Chui is currently responsible for the operation and portfolio management of TaiKoo Hui, Guangzhou.

Joined Swire Properties Limited (SPL) as a management trainee in 1998, Herman started his career in Hong Kong and has over 17 years of experience in portfolio management, property development as well as valuation. Herman participated in various SPL projects in both Hong Kong and Mainland China. Between 2002 and 2005, Herman was responsible for the opening and leasing of Cambridge House office tower in Taikoo Place, Quarry Bay, he was also responsible for the portfolio management of Devon House at that time. In 2006, he was transferred to Pacific Place retail team. In the same year, he participated in the opening of Pacific Place phase 3 tunnel connection, as well as brand mix enhancement project of Star Street Precinct. In 2008, Herman was transferred to Beijing and he was appointed Assistant Director, Portfolio Management responsible for Sanlitun Taikoo Li, Beijing North project. He introduced a brand new trade mix concept to Beijing city, introducing new brands such as Alexander McQueen, Comme des Garcons, Christian Louboutin, Lanvin, Balmain, etc., all of them made their debut in Beijing at Taikoo Li Sanlitun. In 2011, Herman was appointed Deputy General Manager, Sanlitun Taikoo Li, Beijing, in charge of both North and South Sanlitun Taikoo Li, Beijing.

In 2012, Herman was appointed General Manager, TaiKoo Hui, Guangzhou. Since 2014, Herman has led the trade mix upgrade. Till end of 2015, 53 new brands were introduced to TaiKoo Hui mall, and 31 out of the 53 brands, such as Roger Vivier, Loro Piana, Agent Provocateur, Jo Malone, TWG Tea, DIN TAI FUNG, Venchi 1878, etc. made first entry into Guangzhou.

A Qualified Surveyor, Herman is a professional member of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). He is also a committee member of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Tianhe District, Guangzhou. In 2014, Herman received an award by TianHe District Government, Innovation Leading Talents of Tianhe District, Guangzhou.
