About

Gary Strong is a Chartered Building Surveyor, Chartered Arbitrator, Chartered Loss Adjuster and Chartered Building Engineer, practiced as a surveyor, building engineer, expert witness and arbitrator for more than 40 years.

He is a RICS leader on technical surveying, particularly building surveying as related to fire. He leads the RICS fire group, advising government and members of the Construction Industry Council Expert Panel. Strong also chairs the UN-backed International Fire Safety Standards (IFSS) Coalition, launched at the United Nations in Geneva on 9 July 2018, aiming to bring global consistency and improvements in fire safety. He is the chair of the CTBUH Fire Performance of Façades Working Group and the Fire & Life Safety Committee.
