Frank Mahan is an Associate Director and the Adaptive Reuse Practice Leader at SOM. Since joining the firm in 2008, Mahan has helped shape some of New York City's largest, most complex projects, including One World Trade Center and 35 Hudson Yards. As an expert in adaptive reuse, he has played a major role in the Waldorf Astoria renovation and restoration, the repositioning of One Chase Manhattan Plaza, and the renovation of 510 Fifth Avenue. Outside New York, his portfolio includes Polaris Hall at the U.S. Air Force Academy and the National Museum of the U.S. Army.
