About
Fatin Anlar is an Associate Principal and Director in Henning Larsen New York City Office. With over 25 years of experience working on high-rise towers and complex developments with a special focus on efficiency and performance, he brings invaluable perspective, expertise and insight to the design and delivery process. Having performed virtually every role in the design process during his career, he effectively assembles, and coordinates project teams and directs all phases of the design and construction process.
Fatin has led both the design and management sides associated with large-scale projects–commercial, hospitality, residential, retail and mixed-use–in the United States, Eastern Europe and Asia. Integrating the natural and built environment, and merging architecture, engineering and sustainable strategies, he has championed interdisciplinary approach to design, which brings engineers, planners and experts into the creative process from the earliest sketches.
A fundamental question that guides his work is how a building’s aesthetics, program, and tectonics can provide meaning to occupants. Anlar facilitates each detail of communication between the client, team members, and consultants by continually integrating his design skills and experience into the management of each project. With this diverse project experience, Fatin’s hands-on approach brings unique practical skill to the execution of all aspects of architectural services. Fatin brings both technical expertise and a deep understanding of design to his work, enabling him to contribute to projects from their earliest stages to realize a larger vision.
Fatin is currently working on 112th & Main Street, a Commercial Development located in Bellevue, Washington. This 1.3 million sq. ft. development is a pedestrian-oriented urban city-block defined by a density that is highlighted via four mid-rise office structures and meandering laneways with robust retail and public spaces.
Anlar’s accomplished portfolio of projects include high-performance projects such as the LEED Platinum-certified Allianz commercial office tower in Istanbul, Greenwich Lane, a LEED-ND Gold certified mixed-use residential development in New York's historic Greenwich Village, recently completed 77 Greenwich, a 40-Story multi-family Residential and School Building in New York, the LEED Gold-certified Fubon Financial Center a 28-Story Bank Headquarter in Fuzhou City, China, Qala Alti Hotel Spa in Azerbaijan; and 11 Times Square, a 40-story commercial office tower in Times Square NYC;
Fatin was born in Turkey, received both his Bachelor of Architecture and Master’s degrees from the Istanbul Technical University and briefly worked in Istanbul for several building projects, including Isbank Towers, Metro City Complex and Antalya International Airport.
