Elizabeth Randgaard is Director of Marketing and Communications for CTBUH, and oversees a team of creative writers and designers who help bring the CTBUH brand to life. Randgaard is a creative and accomplished senior marketing leader with international and multi-industry experience, specializing in strategic planning, market research, and marketing and communications planning. She is familiar with the non-profit sector through her work in higher education at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and more recently at an international professional association, The International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD). Both organizations focus on awareness, engagement and community building, and thought leadership.
Prior to her work in the non-profit sector, Randgaard was the third employee at a start-up venture that grew to be international in scope. She has worked in market research consultancy and technology companies in Seattle. With an interest in language and travel, Randgaard also spent two years living and working in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Randgaard has a B.A. from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, in English and German, and has a passion for lifelong learning. She has taken many Continuing Executive Education courses at Chicago Booth.
