Doug Voigt is a partner in SOM’s Chicago office, where he leads the firm’s City Design Practice focused on regions and cities around the world. Over the last twenty years, he has been recognized as leading designs that integrate urban and environmental thinking, and brings innovative problem solving around complex urban challenges. He is interested in the capacity of design to build livable communities and connect people to one another. Voigt’s work is distinguished by a passionate appreciation for each project’s unique context and the need for a holistic and innovative response.
