Diederik Dam, third-generation architect, passionately leads Amsterdam-based Dam & Partners Architecten. Upon completing his studies at TU Delft in 1993, he joined the office his father prof. Cees Dam founded in 1962. His work ranges from theaters, urban renewals, housing and offices, transformations, renovations, interiors and concepts. Highlights in his oeuvre include the European Patent Office The Hague together with Ateliers Jean Nouvel, Eneco Energy sustainable headquarters, and Maastoren and Zalmhaven high-rises in Rotterdam (with 215 m. currently the tallest prefabricated building in the world). Major public buildings he designed are the Courthouse Lelystad and the recent transformation of the monumental Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Agriculture in The Hague.
