Damla Gerhart is a Senior Managing Director in CBRE’s Advisory & Transactions group, leading Occupier teams across the firm’s downtown and suburban offices in Chicago. She focuses on empowering transaction professionals to create competitive advantage for clients by leveraging CBRE’s world-class platform to deliver superior measurable outcomes. The vast suite of services includes innovative technology, unrivaled market data and research, unique team skillsets and unparalleled consulting. Damla works with local and national leadership to grow CBRE’s market share and provides input on business development strategy, transaction team formation, talent recruiting, and leadership operations.

Damla has spent the last 15 years working in commercial real estate. In her previous role at CBRE, she led the Workplace Strategy, Design & Engineering business for the Americas where she was responsible for business development, team growth, financials, and thought leadership. In addition, she worked closely with global clients to design and implement innovative workplace strategy and change management solutions that supported their overall business objectives while also improving the employee experience.

Prior to joining CBRE in 2008, Damla was as a Vice President in Jones Lang LaSalle’s Strategic Consulting group for several years focusing on portfolio optimization, process improvement and workplace strategy. In the early days of her career, she worked as a Human Resources Generalist at Kimberly-Clark Corporation where she was responsible for leading organizational development, employee and labor relations, performance management and recruiting.
