Cindy Roubik is Assistant Commissioner of the Planning and Design Division and has been with the City of Chicago's Department of Planning and Development (DPD) for the last 13 years. She is a licensed architect and an accredited professional in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). Cindy manages the DPD design review process for development projects, including high-rise offices, mixed-use developments, and affordable housing projects in the city's downtown and many neighborhoods. She also manages the planning group with initiatives that include modernizing the city's industrial corridors, the C40 Reinventing Cities Competition, and updating the Chicago River Design Guidelines. Prior to joining the City of Chicago, Cindy worked in private practice as a designer for several high-rise condominium and hotel projects.
