He has led projects at SOM with a careful attention to scale, sustainability, and placemaking. As the founding partner of SOM’s Climate Action Group, Cooper seeks to elevate standards for sustainable design in his work. His portfolio includes 7 World Trade Center, the first office building to achieve LEED-C/S Gold certification, the net zero carbon headquarters for the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Volpe Center, and a sustainable new production facility for the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing.
