Chiara Occhipinti, ARB, RIBA, began her architectural journey more than 20 years ago. She holds a master's degree from Politecnico di Milano and a Ph.D. in Architectural Composition. In her early years, her involvement in academic research and teaching provided a solid theoretical grounding and laid the foundation for her work in design theory and practice.

Her professional experience spans offices in Milan and London, where she has been engaged in a diverse array of projects, ranging from master planning to high-rise buildings. Her work across Europe, Africa and Asia reflects her adaptability to diverse architectural contexts and cultural nuances. A core principle of her work is sustainability, as evidenced by her meticulous attention to environmental impact and resource efficiency. Her proactive efforts in reducing embodied carbon and carbon emissions together with her attention to the social impact of the projects and their relationship with the history of their local environment, underline her dedication to deliver impactful schemes.

As Senior Associate Partner at PLP Architecture, her recent achievements include the successful completion of One Bishopsgate Plaza, featuring a landmark tower in the City of London and the ongoing regenerative masterplans and mixed-use schemes in Milan. These projects showcase her contribution to contemporary city architecture.
