Cheuk Ng is currently Professor of Psychology at Athabasca University, Canada’s Open University. Before joining Athabasca University, she had held faculty positions in three universities in Canada.
Tall buildings and high-density living are no stranger to Cheuk Ng, as she grew up in Hong Kong. She had studied and worked in the real estate appraisal field for the Government of Hong Kong for five years when she immigrated to Canada.
Her new life experience in Canada and her work experience in real estate appraisal sparked her interests in the study of people’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in relation to their everyday physical environments in cities. She obtained her M.A. and Ph.D. in psychology with a focus in environmental psychology from the University of Victoria in Canada.
