Carlos de Oliveira, MASc., P.Eng. is the founding President, CEO, and Principal Structural Engineer of CAST CONNEX, and is a foremost expert in the design and use of steel castings in building construction. Carlos holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Applied Science from the University of Toronto. Carlos is also a recipient of the Schreyer Award and Award of Excellence from the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies, an OPEA Engineering Medal, the CSCE Innovation in Civil Engineering Award, and the CIDECT President’s Award for Research, amongst other industry and academic awards.
