Carlo Parente is a licensed architect and educator with extensive experience designing projects across North America, Europe, and Asia. His community-focused work is guided by a holistic approach that integrates performance-based design, emerging technologies, theory, and culture. Parente is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Architectural Science at Toronto Metropolitan University, where he teaches design studios and core curriculum courses.
Before establishing his independent practice, Parente was a senior designer at leading firms in Chicago and his hometown of Toronto. His portfolio includes small- and large-scale residential buildings, commercial office towers, master plans, and educational and community-based projects.
Parente is a member of the board of the Chicago Architectural Club, where he previously served as co-president.
