Cameron McLean is a Director at McLean Consult Pty Ltd, Consulting Building Surveyors, Brisbane, Australia. Cameron graduated from Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Victoria with a Diploma of Building Surveying in 1992. He went on to complete a Graduate Diploma in Construction Management from Swinburne University of Technology and subsequently a Graduate Certificate in Performance-Based Building and Fire Codes from Victoria University of Technology.

Cameron worked for local government both in Victoria and Queensland in statutory building control, before entering the private sector as a Consulting Building Surveyor and Private Building Certifier. In this role, Cameron works closely with clients to provide building regulatory advice during the design phase, including involvement with performance-based alternative solutions and issues the building approval for construction to commence. During the construction phase, Cameron undertakes inspections and issues the occupancy approval upon completion.
Cameron is a registered Private Building Certifier in Queensland and Victoria and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors.
