Caitlyn's experience spans a myriad of locations and building types. She is responsible for AKF's Architectural Code Consulting practice in the firm's New York City, Boston, and Philadelphia offices. With an acute understanding of the intricacies and specific code requirements for various types of construction, Caitlyn's portfolio includes mixed-use, multifamily, hospitality, academic, and healthcare facilities. In this capacity, she has managed the code complexities of numerous tall and supertall building projects, including high-rise hospitals, cantilevered high-rises, and air traffic control towers. Caitlyn is also a skilled educator, presenting on complicated code topics such as, mass timber construction, healthcare facility design, means of egress compliance, and regional, national, and international building and life safety codes.
A leader in the A/E/C community, Caitlyn is a participant in many industry organizations and is a current member of Professional Women in Construction (PWC)'s Boston Chapter's Board of Directors. A registered Fire Protection Engineer and certified International Code Council (ICC) Building Plans Examiner, Caitlyn received her BS in Civil Engineering and MS in Fire Protection Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
