About

Bruce Kuwabara is one of Canada’s leading architects and the recipient of the 2006 Royal Architectural Institute of Canada’s (RAIC) Gold Medal, the highest national honour bestowed on an individual architect. A founding partner of KPMB, Kuwabara has played a leading role in establishing the firm’s international reputation for architectural excellence. His projects have been recognized with awards from the American Institute of Architects, the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Chicago Athenaeum, Business Week/Architectural Record, and the Urban Land Institute, among others.

Kuwabara is also recognized for creating architecture that enriches the public realm and his advocacy of design quality for city building and urban design.
