Billie qualified at the Architectural Association in London. In 1999 he jointly formed HCL
architects with Richard Horden and Stephen Cherry. In 2018 Richard sadly passed away;
Billie and Stephen now lead the office.

If we do our job well then our buildings effortlessly explain themselves, allowing everyone to enjoy them on all levels. Most of our work designing and building projects is hidden; our reward is the visibility and activity that great buildings provide.
