Basil Richardson is a Studio Director at Bates Smart who has extensive Australian and international experience in delivering diverse developments in the commercial, residential, and institutional sectors.

With extensive knowledge of detailing and construction, Basil has overseen some of the practice’s most high-profile projects including the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at UNSW and 177 Pacific Highway in North Sydney.

Currently, Basil is managing the delivery of 25 King in Brisbane which is Australia’s tallest engineered timber office building constructed using cross laminated timber (CLT).
