University of Warwick, Historian
Anna read History at the University of Cambridge, where she also completed her doctorate. From 2021 she holds a Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship at the University of Warwick. She is the author of two books – The Utopians: Six Attempts to Build the Perfect Society (Picador, 2021) and Practical Utopia: The Many Lives of Dartington Hall (Cambridge University Press, 2022). Together these tell the story of the wave of experimental communities that sprang up around the globe in the aftermath of the First World War. A strong advocate for popular engagement with history, Anna believes that linking the past with the present is a vital way to make sense of and improve the contemporary world.
