Andrew Kiel studied at the University of Virginia and Princeton University. From 1993 to 1998 he worked for Josef P. Kleihues and other architectural firms in Germany. As project leader for other major projects such as the Federal Environmental Agency in Dessau, the ADAC headquarters in Munich, and currently the Experimenta Science Centre in Heilbronn, Kiel has extensive experience in designing sustainable buildings. He has been an associate and member of the executive board since 2005 and senior associate since 2010. Kiel became a partner at Saurbruch Hutton Architekten in 2020.
