About
Adam Paul’s work in acoustical consulting focuses on noise and vibration control for large-scale mixed use core and shell buildings, as well as workplace acoustic design and privacy. Adam is a senior project engineer at Longman Lindsey with a proven acoustics background, built during his studies and while working in the construction industry for nearly 10 years, previously at Shen Milsom & Wilke. Tall building project work includes 111 W 57th Street, 35 Hudson Yards, and 50 Hudson Yards.
At the University of Hartford, Adam studied Acoustical Engineering and Music with a focus in classical voice. As a classically trained tenor, he has a heightened awareness to interior acoustic quality and intrusive noise in the built environment. In 2014, Adam received the Leo Beranek Student Medal for Excellence in the Study of Noise Control and the Robert Bradford Newman Medal for Merit in Architectural Acoustics. The former was awarded by the Institute of Noise Control Engineering for his research of the affects floor finishes have on ambient noise levels in hospitals, and the latter by the Acoustical Society of America, for his work on the expansion of music education facilities at Trinity College.
Adam joined CTBUH New York in 2017 and has since become more involved with the chapter, including volunteering at the 2019 regional conference. He is honored to join the Executive Committee as Vice President and to have the chance to aid in advancing the mission of the Council.
