Under construction since 2018, the massive seven-building The Well complex in Toronto continues to progress. The titular "The Well," a 38-story Hariri Pontarini Architects design at 8 Spadina Avenue is an office tower—also the complex's tallest at 174 meters—that will deliver 1 million square feet (92,903 square meters) encased in a stair-case like mass.

Other than some fixes on the X-bracing on the exterior, The Well has been appearing fairly complete since earlier in the summer of 2022. Work continues to progress on the floor fitout, while most of the interior finishings are in place. Tenants began moving in in July 2022 and the Spadina avenue entrance is now open.

Featured Buildings

The lobby's grand, three-story-height-equivalent allows natural light to fill the space and highlight design details at night. Panels of marble surround the front desk and concrete columns and wood paneling add warm texture and tone.
