Plans for a 15-story women-only tower block in west London have been approved by Ealing Council. 102 new units will be built from the Women's Pioneer Association. The development will replace Brook House, a series of low-rise blocks across from the Acton Town tube station.

Some concerns raised were about the height of the building as well as air pollution. The council's planning committee commended the exemplary design from GRID architects.

The housing is primarily focused on women that have dealt with domestic violence and are of minority backgrounds.
