In April, 2022, Hitachi Elevator won the bid for two tall building developments with a building height of over 200 meters at Chengdu Financial Plaza and Andaz Hotel in Garden City. It is required to provide a variety of building transportation solutions to help create an urban complex project that integrates multiple formats and all-life scenarios.

Chengdu Financial Plaza is a substantial complex, consisting of five 200-meter-tall towers with five-story basements and 11-story commercial podiums. Building 1 is structurally topped out at 218 meters high. The project integrates the five-star hotel Ritz-Carlton Hotel, serviced apartments, grade-A office space, and large-scale commercial and high-end residences.

Hitachi Elevator provided 88 elevator products and services for the project, including 29 ultra-high-speed elevators traveling 5-6 meters/second. The project also adopts the Hitachi DFRS destination floor reservation system and face recognition system to achieve the best elevator dispatch strategy and the best personnel flow plan in the building.

Andaz Garden City is located at the core gateway of Tianfu New District, a state-level new area in Chengdu. The building height is 248.8 meters and it is set to be a prominent landmark building in Chengdu's Tianfu New District. The first Andaz Hotel in the southwest of China is located on the 50th to 66th floors.
