Over half the units at the RM2.2 billion (US$545 million) M Vertica development in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur has achieved 92 percent take-up, says Mah Sing Group Bhd founder and group managing director, Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum.

Leong said homebuyers who are keen to buy a unit at the transit-adjacent mixed-development can look at some choice units in Tower D-E available for selection right now. The remaining units are planned to launch in the second quarter of this year.

"We hope interested homebuyers would grab this opportunity as they would be eligible to enjoy the benefits from our latest HOME With Mah Sing Campaign, coupled with the property friendly incentives given by the government and the low-interest environment due to the record low Overnight Policy Rate (OPR)," Leong said.

M Vertica is being developed in two phases and the project boasts what could be the tallest residential towers in Cheras, ranging between 53 stories and 54 stories.

Phase 1 comprises Tower A-B and the construction progress is currently at 65 percent, while Phase 2 consists of Tower C, and D-E, and the construction progress is at 45 percent.

M Vertica offers residential units with built-up of 850 square feet (78.9 square meters) (three-bedroom) and 1,000 square feet (92.9 square meters) (four-bedroom), priced from RM450,800 (111,694 square meters).

The development's landscape and facilities spread across 4.54 acres (1.8 hectares) houses over 40 exclusive facilities, including a water splash play area and chill area, and a 50-meter infinity swimming pool.

Leong said M Vertica has been one of the group's highlight projects since the initial launch of Tower A-B back in 2018.

"We are pleased to kick start 2021 with the topping up ceremony of Tower A-B, signifying the completion of the structure. Our homebuyers of Phase 1 can expect to move in very soon in early 2023," he said in a statement.

Mah Sing Group Bhd chief executive officer, Datuk Ho Hon Sang said that moving forward, the group is optimistic with all its ongoing projects, including M Vertica.

"We have seen promising take-up rates (for M Vertica) in line with the local economic recovery. We believe we are able to cater to different market needs through the right product mix as our projects are located in strategic locations across the cities. We are confident that these will bode well with all the various initiatives introduced by the government especially to stimulate the property industry," Ho said.

Ho said Mah Sing expects to celebrate another topping up for another development known as M Centura, within the first quarter of the year.
