Construction work has been completed on the structure of Generation Park Y in Warsaw, which forms part of Skanska’s Generation Park complex in the city’s Wola-Centrum district.

At 140 meters in height it is the developer’s tallest building in the CEE region. It also possesses a range of environmental features, such as anti-smog concrete, a green lobby wall, a green terrace on the 35th floor and beehives on the roof. There will also be a tree-lined square in front of the complex. Skanska is applying for a Well Core & Shell, LEED Platinum and Buildings without Barriers certificates for the project, which should be completed in Q1 2021.

Generation Park Y will contain 47,000 square meters gross leasable area on 37 above-ground stories. It will also have four underground levels, in which there will be spaces for 187 bicycles and parking for 325 motor vehicles – each fitted with electric car charging sockets.

“An important unique feature will certainly be the lively green wall measuring 330 square meters, which will attract the attention of everyone entering the building. Thanks to the glass façade, the wall can also be admired from the outside. On the 35th floor, at a height of 127 meters above street level, there will be a green terrace overlooking the city centre of Warsaw, which will be a great place to hold meetings, company events and sporting activities such as yoga or fitness training,” points out RafaƂ Stoparczyk, a project director in Skanska’s office division.

The building will also be installed with the Connected by Skanska entry system to provide access through virtual guest passes, as well as an intelligent parking system with licence plate recognition that can show the availability of spaces and allocate them to vehicles.

The office tower will complete the three-building Generation Park complex (comprising Generation Park X, Y and Z) and bring its total area up to 88,000 square meters of gross leasable area. Skanska S.A. is the general contractor, while Jems Architekci is responsible for the architectural design.
