The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has approved the AXA Tower site of 8 Shenton Way. The proposed 63-story integrated project will be undertaken by Alibaba and a consortium led by Perennial Holdings.

The redevelopment will consist of a 63-story tower block with a 2-story podium containing shops and restaurants. The project’s level one will come with lobbies for its office, hotel, and residential components, as well as plaza space. It will also contain four basement levels and sky terraces. The Guoco Tower, completed in 2016, stands at 283.7 meters and 65 stories is currently the tallest building in Singapore.
