From what used to be a Sears outlet on Queen Street, a set of high-rise buildings have been proposed, including what could be Brampton’s new tallest building.

Weston Consulting, an urban planning firm, submitted a plan for 253 Queen Street East that was presented to a public Planning & Development Committee meeting on June 17, 2019.

A trio of towers, at 30, 32 and 46 stories, have been proposed to be built in two phases.

The development is being designed by Quadrangle, an architecture firm based in Toronto.

A total of 998 residential units have been proposed, along with 8,154 square meters of office space, and 1,860 square meters of retail units.

In underground and elevated garages, 1,272 parking spaces and 850 bicycle parking spaces are also included.
