Stacked Residences Proposed for Montevideo
Dutch architecture studio MVRDV has released images of Ziel, a series of residences for Uruguay's capital, Montevideo. Taking on a "pixelated" appearance, the stone-clad family-size units will be distributed across 15 stories in the Punta Carretas neighborhood.
The concept of the project is to offer some tranqulity and greenery within a dense neighborhood to accomodate families that might consider moving to the suburbs once they begin adding children.
Ziel is MVRDV's first project in Uruguay. It will contain 40 units designed in collaboration with Argentinan architect Monoblock for local developer IXOU.
