Shark-Fin-Shaped Tower in Cancún Tops Out
Shark Tower Cancún is a 20-story residential building located in Puerto Cancun. The tower, designed to withstand hurricanes, will have 134 apartments of different sizes and shapes and six mansions, each with their own natural pool.
Among its amenities is a spa with an infinity pool.
“As part of the mansions, there are natural pools, which is a way to interact face to face with a natural environment. The natural ecosystem in which they have been recreated allows the pool to remain practically alone, eliminating the use of any substance to clean the water, "says Mauricio Rovirosa, operations director of Shark Tower Cancún and Grupo Luximia.
A percentage of the sale of these apartments goes to the Saving Our Sharks association, which seeks to preserve the shark and remove it from the list of endangered animals.
Shark Tower has a design different from Cancun standards, mainly due to the shape of the building, which is unconventional when it comes to residential developments. The 11th-floor pool perpendicularly intersects the flown-ended tower with a transparent structural methacrylate wall.
The mixed structural complex allowed the creation of large open spaces in this panoramic pool. The gates are avant-garde, optimizing energy and protecting against strong winds.
