Seventy-Story Commercial Tower Proposed for Zanzibar
In the next few years, Zanzibar could be home to a US$1.2 billion (about Sh3 trillion) commercial tower.
A joint venture of Tanzania's AICL Group and Edinburgh Crowland Managemnt Ltd signed a contract on 24 August, 2021 with New York City and Dubai-based architect xCassia that will see the latter come up with architectural designs for the Zanzibar Domino.
If completed, the proposed 70-story building will be among the taller buildings in Egypt, in the league with Iconic Tower, which has topped out at 80 stories, and the Great Mosque of Algiers.
