Casa 159, which is being developed by Inversiones Bolívar, underwent the installation of seismic isolators, making it the first property in El Salvador and Central America that incorporates this technology.

"The insulators are made up of two large steel plates, with a central core that is a compound developed with different layers of special rubber, metallic sheets, and a lead core," explained the general manager of Inversiones Bolívar, Óscar Cornejo.

He added that said seismic isolators were placed at the base of the building and their operation allows their structure to move uniformly and return to its original position after movement.

This technology provides greater comfort to its inhabitants since earthquakes are felt with less intensity. In addition, it allows for structures to have lighter-weight designs and allow for immediate occupation after a seismic event.
