Miami’s oldest Presbyterian church has been given clearance to move forward with the US$240 million sale of 2.2 acres (0.89 hectares) of land at 609 Brickell Avenue, one of the last remaining waterfront sites in Brickell. The site would become home to an 80-story condominium tower designed by Sieger Suarez Architects (Sieger Suarez) and developed by 13th Floor Investments and Key International.

Supplanting a parking lot and a school that operates behind the church, the 1948-era First Miami presbyterian Church would still front Brickell Avenue and share the 3.41-acre (1.37-hectares) with the new towering condominium. Just a sole member of the chruch tried to block the sale but ultmately a meeting in September 2022 greenlit the plans for the new development.
