New York City Observatory Set to Open Fall 2021

Summit One Vanderbilt, a four-level 6,039 square meter (65,000 square foot) observatory including an outdoor summit terrace, will be located in the crown of One Vanderbilt, a 427-meter-tall commercial building in Manhattan. The experience-oriented space will be accessed via an all-glass enclosed elevator will travel up the outside of the building to the views at 369 meters (1,210 feet) above New York City.

The Summit is set to open on October 21, 2021, and will feature an outdoor bar, seating areas, an “urban outdoor alpine meadow,” and fully transparent glass sky boxes that jut out of the building and suspend guests 324 meters (1,063 feet) above Madison Avenue. Immersive art installations by Kenzo Digital will use the observation deck as a background for its storytelling.

Summit One Vanderbilt will be the latest in a series of openings at One Vanderbilt as part of the US$3.3 billion development.
