New Photos Show Ho Chi Minh City’s Upcoming Tallest Skyscraper Has Topped Out
New photos reveal that Vincom Landmark 81 in Ho Chi Minh City, set to become Vietnam’s tallest building upon completion, has architecturally topped out. Rising 81 stories and 461.2 meters tall, Vincom Landmark 81 is inspired by the traditional bundle of bamboo that symbolizes strength and unity in Vietnamese culture.
The tower, which is expected to cost $1.4 billion, is located in the Binh Thanh District surrounded by a cluster of shorter high-rises. The mixed-use building, designed by Atkins for developer Vingroup, will replace the Keangnam Hanoi Landmark Tower in Hanoi as Vietnam’s tallest building. Keangnam Hanoi was completed in 2012 and reaches a height of 349 meters.
In addition to a 450-room hotel, Vincom Landmark 81 will contain office and residential functions as well as retail and a 360-degree observation deck.
