A new high-rise development in Madrid, designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) for Ibervalles has been revealed, aiming to redefine the city’s skyline. Located at General Perón 27, near the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the project in the Azca district will be a new 15-story luxury hotel.

The hotel will be the only luxury accommodation in Azca, a district set for revitalization under the Renazca project, which will reimagine over 80,000 square meters of public space in one of Madrid’s busiest commercial hubs. Featuring a fully glazed, curved façade, the design ensures both durability and versatility while offering panoramic city views from all 144 hotel rooms.

Sports tourism is expected to be a major draw, catering to football fans visiting Madrid for Real Madrid matches or events at the Bernabéu Stadium. The hotel will also attract business travelers, given its proximity to key commercial centers, including the Palacio de Congresos de Madrid, which is undergoing renovation to house the World Tourism Organization. The conference center will feature a 500-square-meter auditorium, exhibition halls, offices, and meeting spaces, making the area an even stronger business destination.

Additional amenities include 49 parking spaces, a wellness area with an indoor pool, a communal rooftop area, event and meeting rooms, a second-floor terrace with a restaurant, and a ground-level terrace connected to the lobby. With its prime location, high-end amenities, and architectural ambition, this development is set to redefine Madrid’s evolving urban landscape.

The development involves demolishing an existing building on-site, with the construction expected to be completed in early 2028.
