Developers GENC Investments Pty Ltd have submitted a development application for 26 Balaclava Street. GENC Investments is currently in the process of purchasing the land for the project. Their application would replace one that was already submitted and approved for the site back in 2019.

The new project will contain two residential buildings that would stand 70.7 meters (232 feet) tall. Tower 1 would contain 32 two-bedroom and 64 three-bedroom apartments whereas Tower 2 would contain 64 one-bedroom and 80 two-bedroom apartments. There will be space for three retail spaces on the ground level and each building will have a rooftop pool.

The project’s architect is NAM. Andrew Gold Landscape Architect will be designing the project’s landscaping. If the project gets approved, it will replace a showroom and two small commercial buildings that are currently on the site.
