Plans have been submitted for a 46-story, 176-meter office building at 63 St Mary Axe, located on the edge of the City of London’s Eastern Cluster by AXA IM Alts. The development, designed by Fletcher Priest Architects, will provide 635,000 square feet of new commercial space and incorporate biodiverse features, including gardens on each office floor and over 100 trees planted.

The plans include developing Camomile Park, a new public space, and will reveal a previously buried section of London’s ancient Roman Wall. Visiters will be able ot enjoy a multi-function auditorium, rehearsal spaces, and food and beverage outlets aimed at community engagement and job training initiatives.

AXA IM Alts has engaged with over 350 local stakeholders in shaping the project, which aligns with the City of London’s goal of expanding public spaces and enhancing cultural infrastructure. The site is close to Liverpool Street Station, Aldgate, Aldgate East, and Bank stations, ensuring strong transport links.

The building is designated as an all-electric and fossil fuel free building, targeting BREEAM Outstanding, NABERS 5 Star, and net zero carbon operation.
