LWK + Partners have won a design competition to serve as the lead architect of DIFC Living and Innovation Two, DIFC's first mixed-use development in Dubai's International Financial Centre (DIFC). Featuring more than 170 upscale residences, the project broke ground in November 2022 and is slated for a 2025 completion.

The project offers over 144,155 square feet of offices and co-working spaces and an additional 38,303 square feet has been dedicated to retail use. At the pinnacle of the tower, a twisted cube, like a lantern, hosts a restaurant and will create a presence on the Dubai skyline.

The building form, composed of interlocking geometries, carefully responds to the programmatic functions and site’s various characteristics, offering breathtaking city views. Building functions encompass residential, commercial and retail spaces and a conference center, each designed in response to the unique geometry. A pedestrian connection across the stepped podium brings in a series of cascading gardens and public plazas as well as an ampitheatre for events and public performances. The design is following the LEED standard guidelines to ingrain sustainability throughout each step of the design and construction process.
